There are two Buddhist destinations in Colorado that Mary and I visit whenever we are nearby. In Boulder, Colorado is the Shambhala Center. We’ve never taken any photos inside but check out their website – https://boulder.shambhala.org. The staff is welcoming and will allow you to wander the building and experience the beautiful meditation space and library.

The other destination is the Shambhala Mountain Center in Red Feather Lakes, Colorado – https://www.shambhalamountain.org. Over the years Mary and I have visited many times, sometimes just for the day and we’ve rented a platform tent so we could engage in three day self-directed retreats. When you visit be sure to get a dining hall pass and enjoy the food and people you’ll meet. We have sat at a round picnic table that seated ten, with people representing five different countries.
